To many an observer, education both as a systemic process and as a tool represents a milestone in one’s empowerment. Education is an important tool that contributes to several aspects of a person’s life in order. to take advantage of what has been learned and how to productively it in either personal or professional life. The major role of education is to create an educated and more critically founded society. In the culture today, there is a huge emphasis on education, especially higher education. Society usually says the more educated, the better of a person will be and several studies indicate at these integrated factors represent essential elements for sustainable economic and social development of a Nation-State.

The social tissue and the overall moral fibre of society are enhanced through public policies aimed at educational practices. One cannot neglect the long-lasting impact of governmental policies geared towards the galvanization of education at its grassroots. Education encompasses both the teaching and learning of knowledge, proper conduct, and technical competency. It thus focuses on the cultivation of skills, trades or professions, as well as mental, moral and aesthetic development. The important concept of social justice is consolidated by education both as a systemic process where the family and the State have an essential role and as a tool which cannot be substituted by any other empowerment practice. Indeed, education consolidates in the long run representative democracy where citizens are fully aware of its rights and obligations under legal parameters and provision.

It is therefore highly significant initiatives such as the Educational Charter International envisioned by CCLP Worldwide and other state and non-state actors worldwide which fosters integral human development through the emphasis on education. As a professor, we are honoured of having to deliver these words of encouragement of the guidelines promoted by CCLP Worldwide and its partners worldwide.
